Man, woman wanted in Airdrie armed robbery attempt

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Mounties in Airdrie are seeking assistance from the public in identifying two suspects connected to an armed robbery attempt last Friday.

Just before 5 p.m., a man tried to steal a vehicle from a car dealership.

When employees are the dealership tried to intervene, the suspect pointed a gun at them, before fleeing in another vehicle driven by a second suspect.

That vehicle — a black Ford Flex with Alberta license plate YSC 101 — had previously been reported stolen.

The vehicle was spotted again two days later en route to Calgary.

Police have a picture of the woman believed to be in the passenger seat from a business that day. Investigators have a second image believed to be of the man taken from surveillance video during a break and enter at a car dealership about 12 hours earlier.
