Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon is pleased to welcome Renee Balsiger as director of sales and account management, effective May 28. In her new role, Balsiger will lead new business opportunities and development of large, middle-market and small group employers throughout Oregon.
Balsiger comes to Regence from Mercer, where she most recently served as west market leader for mid-market solutions. Her 19-year career with Mercer includes six years of leadership of sales, client satisfaction and service delivery at the company’s Portland office, and one year overseeing Mercer’s 8-state West market. Balsiger began her health care career in sales with PacifiCare Health Systems.

Balsiger, a lifelong Oregonian, holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Business from Oregon State University. Married 31 years, she enjoys healthy pursuits like hiking, cross-training and cooking Lebanese food. Balsiger has a son who works in finance in Seattle, and a daughter who recently earned a Master of Education degree and will pursue an elementary teaching career.
