Police looking for witness in Bowness murder case

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Calgary police are searching for a witness who could help with a murder investigation.

Police say they are looking for the driver of a vehicle spotted near the scene of a homicide in Bowness on Feb. 10.

A 33-year-old woman died after she was found on the road near 34 Ave and 79 Street NW.

The woman’s husband has since been charged with second-degree murder in her death.

“As with all homicide investigations, our detectives are doing everything they can to piece together what unfolded in the hours leading up to the death of the victim,” said Acting Staff Sergeant Ken Carrier. “It is our duty to provide a thorough and complete investigation, and speaking to the motorist seen in the area will help to further our case.”

Police said the driver of the vehicle is only a witness and not a suspect in the case.
