‘Let’s get to our identity early’: Flames welcome Panthers

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — We could see familiar lines for the Calgary Flames as they face the Florida Panthers, or we could see something new.

That was the message from head coach Bill Peters after Thursday’s morning skate.

“We’ve got a change ready to go,” he offered when asked about the evening tilt. “We’ll see how it all unfolds and see what their lineup looks like.

“If we make one move, everybody is different. Once we move one guy, all four lines change.”

He also said strong starts continue to allude his squad, and it needs to stop.

“We’ve had a hard time playing 60 minutes of consistent, high-quality hockey,” Peters stated. “That’s a challenge for tonight. Start on time and go from there. I expect all four lines to have a positive impact. Let’s get to our identity early and stay with it.”

Calgary enters the contest with a 5-5-1 record on the season.
